Among several visitors, an old man who lives nearby stopped to say that he recalls when he first moved to Rochester in 1906 with his dad who was a trainee for the railroad. His family lived for 6 months in the house we now live in at 41 Birch Crescent - then a boarding house run by a widow Nolan who ran a fur shop and kept 6 boarders plus her daughter and maid in the house.
