Let's check back in with our humble protagonist, the Mud House. If you missed the previous post, you can find it here. Up until this point (the 1940's), the Mud House had no electricity and no plumbing. When the Brown Brothers purchased the property, they renovated the lower floor, installing new flooring in the lower floor and fitting the home with only the latest and greatest modern technologies: electricity and running water.

On a crisp autumn afternoon, your father arrives to collect you from elementary school. As you journey down Whalen Road, your gaze fixates on the familiar houses that have been a part of your life for as long as you can recall. Each time your car approaches 992 Whalen Rd, your dad excitedly declares, "Behold, the Mud House!" You roll your eyes.

There is a fake plastic buried-treasure type chest in the living room at my mother's house. It's full of photo albums. Most of the pictures chronicle the childhood of my brother, but there are a few of me in there as well. I guess my parents got worn out taking so many pictures of my brother.
